BRICS Summit: Putin in Delhi, Xi Jinping to Arrive Tomorrow; Check Schedule of 25 Leaders

New Delhi: Foreign guests have started arriving for the BRICS Summit 2026 to be held on 12 and 13 September in Delhi. The biggest news is that Russian President Vladimir Putin has reached Delhi. Now everyone's eyes are on Chinese President Xi Jinping. Leaders and representatives of about 25 countries including Putin and Jinping are going to come to this conference. In view of the guests, security has been tightened in Delhi.

Since when have foreign guests been coming to Delhi?

The arrival of guests had started from the night of 10th September. Brazil's Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira was the first to land at Terminal 3 of IGI Airport at 9:50 pm. On September 11, there was a queue at the airport. Russian President Putin reached Air Force Station Palam at 3:15 am. After him, WHO Chief Dr. Tedros reached Delhi at 4:10 am, and AIIB President Xu Jiayi and Foreign Minister of Uruguay also reached Delhi early in the morning. UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres is also going to arrive in the afternoon.

How tight is the security for Putin?

Four layers of security have been created for Putin in Delhi. There is news of his staying in ITC Maurya Hotel and everything around the hotel has been sealed.

In the innermost circle, he will have his own Close Protection Team i.e. CPT which will be with him every second. Senior officers of Delhi Police are deployed in the second circle, commandos and paramilitary forces of Delhi Police are deployed in the third circle and local police are deployed outside. 25 to 30 Russian commandos will always be with them during their movement. An additional DCP and two ACPs have been deployed in the hotel in different shifts.

What are the security arrangements for Jinping?

Chinese President Xi Jinping will reach Palam Airport on September 12 at 12:25 pm. He is also likely to stay at ITC Maurya. There is high alert on the entire route of his convoy from Palam to the hotel and then to Bharat Mandapam. The responsibility of his security has been given to the Special Cell of Delhi Police. Their own Chinese security team has already reached Delhi. On the floor where they will stay, soldiers will be deployed everywhere from the roof to the ground floor.

Who else is coming on September 11?

Leaders will keep coming throughout the day on Friday. Nigeria's Vice President Kashim Shettima will arrive at 2:45 pm, Egypt's President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi at 5:35 pm, UAE's Crown Prince and Malaysia's PM Anwar Ibrahim will also arrive today. Ethiopia's PM will arrive at 7:30 pm. The sequence will continue in the night also. The President of Burkina Faso will reach Delhi at 8:45 pm, the President of Indonesia at 9 pm and the President of the Philippines at 10 pm.

Who will come on September 12?

Guests will continue to come on September 12 also. The foreign minister of Belarus will arrive at 5:35 am, PM of Vietnam at 11:05 am. All eyes will be on Jinping who will land in the afternoon. The President of Kazakhstan will also arrive in the evening and the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia at 9 pm. Overall, leaders of 25 countries will gather at the Bharat Mandapam and during this time, security will be tight everywhere from the airport to hotels in Delhi.
