Delhi Blast Case: Special NIA Court Extends Custody Of Jasir Bilal Wani For 7 Days

New Delhi: In a major breakthrough in the Delhi blast case, special NIA court has extended NIA custody of Jasir Bilal Wani alias Danish for a further 7 days. He was also produced before the court at the end of his 10 days of NIA custody.

It is to be noted here that Wani, was arrested by the NIA on November 17, in Srinagar. Wani is a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. Wani was arrested for allegedly providing technical assistance for terror activities.

What action were taken by Patiala court in Delhi blast case?

Earlier, the Patiala House Court in Delhi has remanded Soyab to 10 days of NIA custody in the Delhi blast case. After the arrest, the agency said, “NIA investigations have revealed that he had also provided logistical support to the terrorist Umar before the November 10 car bombing that killed several persons and injured many others outside the Red Fort in the national capital.”

“The agency continues to pursue various leads in connection with the suicide bombing, and has been conducting searches across States in coordination with the respective police forces in a bid to identify and track others involved in the gruesome attack,” the NIA said.
