Bihar News: The Grand Alliance presented its manifesto, "Tejasvi Pranab," on Tuesday at the Maurya Hotel in Patna. Leaders from the Congress, Left, RJD, and VIP were present on stage. Tejashwi Yadav was announced as the CM candidate, and Mukesh Sahni as the deputy CM candidate. The Grand Alliance claims that their pledges will lift Bihar out of its 20-year backwardness. The effort to demonstrate unity was clearly visible on stage.
The manifesto's most significant promise is that it promises to enact a law providing a government job to one member of every family within 20 days of coming to power. The opposition argues that this promise is impractical. However, Grand Alliance leaders claim that this is not just a declaration but a written pledge. The question arises as to how so many jobs will be created in Bihar's economic situation. The public is both curious and skeptical about this.
In its manifesto, the Grand Alliance has promised to empower women significantly. All Jeevika Didis will be made permanent and receive the status of government employees. The promised salary will be 30,000 rupees per month. This promise could generate enthusiasm among women. However, the opposition is calling it an election ploy. The question is how the government treasury will bear such a burden.
Tejashwi Yadav launched a direct attack on Nitish Kumar and the BJP from the stage. He said that the BJP and corrupt officials have reduced Nitish Kumar to a puppet, using his name and face. Tejashwi claims that the public has recognized the true power of the party. This statement could pose a significant challenge to the BJP and JDU.
Tejashwi Yadav said that this is not just an alliance of parties, but of hearts. He claimed that he would sacrifice his life to fulfill his pledges. The presence of all parties on stage sent a message of unity. However, Bihar politics has a history of alliances breaking and forming. Now it remains to be seen whether this alliance can withstand the weight of its promises.
The Grand Alliance has also clarified its seat distribution. RJD will contest 143 seats, Congress 62, VIP 15, CPI (ML) 20, CPM 6, CPI 4, and IP Gupta's party 3. This division is an attempt to strike a balance between major parties and smaller allies. The question is whether all parties will cooperate wholeheartedly or will resentment grow after the ticket distribution.
The manifesto makes lofty promises of employment and women's empowerment. To the public, this seems like a pipe dream. However, in Bihar, many announcements have been made in the past, but few have been fulfilled. Now, the public is watching to see if the promises will be fulfilled this time. In the electoral arena, the BJP and the NDA will also confront the Grand Alliance with tough questions. The real verdict will be determined by the public's vote.
