Ahmedabad: Cigarette in hand, loud music blaring in the car, and foot on the accelerator. The car's speed reached 140 km per hour on the Ahmedabad bypass. Moments later, the car overturned, there was the sound of shattering glass, and then everything went dark. The entire incident was recorded on camera. The friends were on their way to Udaipur to celebrate a birthday.
During the early hours of January 17, at around 3 AM, two cars collided in the Savina police station area of Udaipur. Six friends were traveling in one of the cars. Four friends died on the spot in the accident, while two others were seriously injured. This accident turned a friend's birthday celebration into a tragedy.
In the video recorded before the accident, the driver, Sher Mohammad, is seen driving at speeds of 100-120 km per hour and then 140 km per hour. The car crashed just 1 minute and 10 seconds after the video began. A young man sitting in the back is repeatedly seen pleading with the driver not to drive so fast.
According to sources, after the accident, the people trapped in the car cried out for help for about 10 minutes. By the time people reached the spot, four young men had already died. Two young men were found inside the car, groaning in pain and in critical condition.
Both cars were completely destroyed in the accident that occurred early Saturday morning. The collision was so severe that the vehicles were reduced to mangled wrecks. All the friends who were victims of the accident were returning from a 'Mehfil-e-Milad' program held near Nela Talab in the Savina area. They were going to have tea nearby when this tragic accident occurred.
