Hyderabad Murder Accused Dies After Brutal Public Beating Following Woman’s Killing

Hyderabad: In Jadcherla area 22 year old Vaishnavi was murdered in broad daylight by slitting her throat. The accused was 28 year old Teja. Immediately after the attack, the mob caught Teja and beat him badly. He also died during treatment in the hospital. Police are now investigating two separate cases.This incident shook the entire area. 

Why was Teja harassing Vaishnavi?

Police investigation revealed that Teja was madly in one-sided love. He Was following Vaishnavi for many months. He Was constantly pressurizing for marriage. Vaishnavi refused again and again. The family members also explained to Teja, but he did not agree.

What was the reason behind the murder?  

A few days ago, Teja came to know that Vaishnavi got engaged. He got upset because of this. Police believe that he attacked Vaishnavi out of anger and jealousy. The whole matter seems to be related to passion and one-sided love.

How did the attack happen?

Vaishnavi was going home after getting down from the bus. Just then Teja reached there. He took out a knife and attacked Vaishnavi on the road in front of everyone. By the time people ran, Vaishnavi was bleeding and taken to hospital, but could not survive.

How was Teja killed by mob?

People were in anger after the attack. Eyewitnesses said that the mob overpowered Teja and tied his hands. Then they started beating with kicks, punches, stones and sticks. Teja became half dead on the spot. The police came and took him to the hospital. He died during treatment there.

What is the police investigating now?

There are two cases before the police. First murder of Vaishnavi. Secondly, Teja died due to mob beating. Officers are scanning nearby CCTV cameras and taking statements of eyewitnesses. Charge sheet and action will be taken only after the investigation is completed.

How is the situation in the area?

There is tension in Jadcherla after the incident. The police have increased the force so that there is no further uproar. People are angry. Questions are being raised on women's safety. They are demanding that strictest steps be taken in such cases.
