Hyderabad: The continuous murders in Hyderabad in the last two weeks have increased the concern of the police and administration. After nine murder cases were reported from different areas in the city, the police have now adopted a strict stance. To keep the situation under control, not only has patrolling been increased, but an advisory has also been issued for the common people.
Police officials say that these incidents cannot be taken lightly. For this reason, special teams have been deployed in sensitive areas, which are continuously patrolled at night. The objective of the police is clear—to create fear among criminals and to reassure the common people that the situation is under control.
Hyderabad Police has appealed to the people not to go out unnecessarily till late at night. It has been especially advised to avoid going to deserted areas. Police say that this step has been taken keeping in mind the safety of the people and not to impose restrictions on anyone.
If we look at the cases that have come to light in recent times, many murders have been found to be related to mutual disputes, domestic disputes, and sudden violence. In one case, a young man was stabbed to death after a minor altercation. Such cases have made it clear to what extent violence over small matters can take a dangerous form.
Special teams of police are checking vehicles on the roads late at night. Suspicious people are being interrogated, and sudden checking is being done at many places. In some videos that surfaced on social media, police have also been seen advising people at night and asking them to return home.
Police officials say that this action is necessary to maintain law and order. Also, all murder cases are being investigated expeditiously, and efforts are being made to arrest the accused soon. The continuously increasing incidents have once again raised the question that not only the police but also the society will have to understand their responsibility to curb the increasing violence in cities. Police believe that if the public cooperates, the situation can be normalized soon.
The most famous case is related to the Rohingya camp in Balapur, where on the night of 17 December, a 19-year-old youth was stabbed to death several times after a fight. Apart from this, some other murders are said to be related to marital disputes and domestic disputes.
