New Delhi: Monsoon has become active once again. The rain that has been raining intermittently for the last two-three days has now increased in intensity. Roads are flooded, traffic jams are occurring and in some areas flood-like situations have also arisen. The Meteorological Department has clearly said that there will be no relief in the next few days. In fact, heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur in many states. There is also a danger of strong storms, lightning and sudden floods.

After all, why is the weather so bad?

Meteorologists say that a deep depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal. Just because of that, clouds are raining all over the country. This system has now spread to East, West, North and Central India. Due to this, there are chances of heavy rain in some places, lightning with thunder in some places and wind blowing at the speed of 40-50 kmph at some places.

Which states will receive the maximum rainfall?

IMD's list is quite long. There is going to be good rain in the northeastern states including Uttarakhand, Himachal, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, UP, Bihar, Jharkhand, Bengal, Odisha, MP, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. There is maximum tension in the hilly areas. Due to continuous rain there, the mountains can crack and the water of the rivers can reach the danger mark. The administration has already been alerted.

Where is the fear of flash floods more?

There may be sudden floods in some low-lying and hilly areas of Uttarakhand, Odisha, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. If you live near these places then do not go near rivers and streams at all. Follow whatever instructions the administration gives.

What is the condition of the fishermen and the sea?

The sea is also not calm at this time. There are high waves and strong wind along the Bay of Bengal and the coasts of Odisha, Bengal, North Andhra. Fishermen have been asked not to go into the sea for 2-3 days.

What will happen in Delhi, UP, Bihar and other states?

It will remain cloudy throughout the day in Delhi-NCR. There will be light to moderate rain at intervals. The heat will reduce but the humidity will bother you. There is also news of waterlogging at many places. There is red alert for many districts in UP and Bihar. Continuous rain there can cause waterlogging in low-lying areas. There will be torrential rains in eastern parts of Rajasthan and MP-Chhattisgarh also. Rivers and streams may swell.

Why has the problem increased in the mountains?

Continuous rain has become the biggest problem in Uttarakhand and Himachal. Landslides, road closures and traffic jams have become common. If it is not necessary, then postpone the plans for the mountains for the time being.

What should people do?

Do not leave the house without work. If there is lightning, stay away from trees, poles and open ground. Drive slowly, avoid waterlogged roads. Keep watching weather updates on TV and mobile. Rain is important, but life is more important than that. Take care of yourself and your family members.
