Jammu: The Border Security Force (BSF) and Jammu Police have once again foiled Pakistan's nefarious drone plot along the India-Pakistan border. On Monday morning, security agencies conducted a joint search operation in the border village of Bidhipur in the R.S. Pura sector and recovered two suspicious packages, possibly containing heroin-like narcotic substances.

According to reports, these packages were dropped into Indian territory by a drone from across the border last night. Acting on information received from local residents in the morning, the BSF and police immediately cordoned off the area and began searching the fields. During the search, two packages wrapped in yellow tape were recovered.

Drug trafficking also involved

Sources stated that preliminary investigations have revealed that this is a case of drug trafficking involving a Pakistan-based network using drone technology. The recovered material has been seized, and an investigation has been initiated, while samples have been sent to a forensic lab for testing.

A senior officer stated, "Our troops were alerted as soon as drone activity was detected from across the border. With the cooperation of local police, timely action was taken, and the smuggling attempt was foiled."

Heroin and weapons being transported

In the past few months, several cases of heroin and weapons being transported via drones have been reported in the Jammu and Punjab border areas. In response, the BSF has increased surveillance and deployed anti-drone systems, night-vision cameras, and radar equipment.

Security agencies have appealed to the people of border villages to immediately report any suspicious activity or drone sound. This incident once again proves that Pakistan-based narco-terror networks are continuously targeting India's young generation.
