Uttar Pradesh News: The Mungarabadshahpur police station premises in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh was shaken on Tuesday when a mysterious firecracker explosion engulfed the entire police station.
Around noon, a loud explosion was suddenly heard. According to eyewitnesses, the fire first flared up from one corner and then reached the vehicles parked there in seconds. Strong flames, rising black smoke, and continuous explosions. For a few moments it seemed as if the police station premises had turned into a war zone.
As soon as the incident was reported, fire brigade teams reached the spot. The teams worked quickly and prevented the fire from spreading. However, by then many vehicles had been burnt to ashes. The most relieving thing was that no person was injured
How did the gunpowder reach the police station premises? Now the biggest question is how did the explosive material reach a secure premise like the police station? Was it a part of the seized illegal firecrackers or some security lapse? Was it human negligence, or will the layers of some big negligence be revealed now?
The police have started the investigation, and every corner of the police station premises is being searched. CCTV footage, the seizure register, and records of the storehouse are being searched.
CO Pratima Verma said that the fire broke out at the place behind the police station office where the abandoned vehicles and the firecrackers confiscated in various cases were kept together. These firecrackers were confiscated from traders from time to time and were kept in the open area behind the police station in view of security.
This incident was not a normal fire but a question mark on the system. The arrival of explosives in the police station reflects a major security failure. This is the time not just to extinguish the fire but to fix accountability.
This fire of firecrackers is no longer just the ashes of burnt vehicles but a signal. caution and vigilance is no longer just the responsibility of ordinary citizens, but also of the system itself
