Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya narrowly escaped a major accident on Saturday. While taking off from Lucknow, his helicopter suddenly developed a technical fault and smoke started filling the cabin. Seeing the situation, the pilot immediately made an emergency landing of the helicopter at Lucknow Airport. What happened during the flight?

According to the information, Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya had to go to Kaushambi from Lucknow. The helicopter was preparing to take off as per the scheduled schedule. Meanwhile suddenly smoke started appearing inside the cabin. As soon as the smoke rose, the commotion increased among the security personnel and officials. The pilot immediately took the decision to land the helicopter instead of continuing the flight considering the situation.

How was the emergency decision taken?

After seeing smoke in the helicopter, the pilot informed the air traffic control without any delay and started the process of emergency landing. Within a few minutes the helicopter had safely landed on the runway. According to experts, this decision taken in time was very important, because if the problem in the air increases, there could be a big danger.

What happened after landing?

As soon as the helicopter landed, the technical team reached the spot and started checking the machine. Initially it is being considered to be a matter related to technical fault. However, officials say that only after a detailed investigation will it be clear what the real reason behind the smoke was.

Is everyone safe?

After the incident, officials said that all the people aboard the helicopter are completely safe. Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya also came out safely. There is no report of anyone being injured. Due to a technical problem with the helicopter, changes had to be made in the further journey of the deputy chief minister. It is being told that new arrangements are being made regarding the program of going to Kaushambi. Technical experts are busy examining the helicopter so that the cause of the malfunction can be found out and such situations can be avoided in future.
