Patna: After the Rashtriya Janata Dal’s (RJD) defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, has made some of the shocking revelations as she is quitting politics as well as ending ties with her family.

Rohini took to her social media handle X and shared a series of emotional post. In her emotional post, Rohini alleged that she was “abused, humiliated, and even assaulted” by her brother, Tejashwi Yadav, as well as his close aide, RJD MP Sanjay Yadav, when she questioned them after the party’s poor performance.

Rohini, in her emotional post stated being allegedly humiliated, abused, and disowned by her own family. Taking to her X, she wrote, “Yesterday, a daughter, a sister, a wife, and a mother was insulted and abused with filthy language. A slipper was raised to hit me. I neither compromised on my self‑respect nor surrendered the truth, and for that, I was disgraced.”

She further describing her pain said that she was forced to leave her family. She wrote, “They took away my identity and made me an orphan.” “May no household ever have a daughter or sister like Rohini,” she added.

She further stated that her sacrifice was called dirty in her family. In another emotional post, “Yesterday, I was abused and called ‘dirty.’ They said I gave my father a dirty kidney and took crores of rupees for it. They claimed I donated it only to get a political ticket.”

And now after Rohini's deeply emotional outburst, several political leaders have responded. Check out their social media post:

JD(U) MLC Sribhagwan Singh Kushwaha said, "... What can I say about the Lalu family?... Their downfall has begun... Why would someone with values raise a slipper on their sister?... I condemn whatever happened to Rohini..."

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari on Sunday said that the apparent rift within the family reflects the "mentality" of a regime that, according to him, allowed "jungle raj" to flourish in Bihar for years. While taking a swipe at the RJD leadership, Tiwari said that those who aspired to run the entire state of Bihar were now unable to manage their own families.

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Mrityunjay Tiwari told ANI, "This is a family matter. Members of the family will speak on this. The party's top leadership will see this matter. The election results have come out just now.''

''But why did such results come, and what were the reasons, is something that will be reviewed. Only after that can we give a response. Everyone knows that Rohini ji set an example; everyone would want a daughter and sister like her...," he added.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor talking to ANI, said, "I really don't want to comment on that. My reasons are very simple - I have not been a campaigner in Bihar. I have not been there, I have not seen the ground reality...All I can say is, in the aftermath of an election, there should be introspection.''

He added, ''Everyone should figure out what happened, what went wrong, what the issues were and when that happens, some conclusions may follow."
