Kanpur Man Dies by Suicide After Costly Phone Theft

National News: An appalling occurrence has come to light from Kanpur, where a youthful man kicked the bucket by suicide after being unable of bearing the burden of EMIs for a versatile phone that had been stolen. The expired he had acquired a smartphone worth ₹24,000 on credit. After the phone was stolen, he proceeded to pay the installments but fell into serious monetary distress.

Worker Ends Life Over Stolen Phone's EMI

The occurrence happened in Govind Nagar’s Dada Nagar Loknayak Colony. A man who worked as a daily-wage labourer lived with his spouse and child. Approximately six months prior, he had bought the phone on installments. Be that as it may, one and a half months back, the phone was stolen, but the EMI installments didn’t stop.

Mental Push After Phone Theft

His brother uncovered that since the phone went missing, Rakesh had been under a part of the push. In spite of not having the phone, the company proceeded to request month-to-month installments. He had indeed discussed his circumstances with the family. They had addressed why he required such a costly phone to begin with. He had reacted, "If anything happens, I will have to pay the installments presently," and he couldn’t bear to purchase another phone either.

Spent Time with Mother Some time recently, Taking His Life

On the night of the occurrence,he had supper and at that point went to visit his mother, who runs a little inn. He sat with her unobtrusively for a long time. His mother  said she detected something was bothering him and inquired a few times, but he did not share anything. Afterwards, he returned home and went to his room. Late at night, when mother returned home after closing her lodging, she found he had taken his own life by hanging himself in the room. The police were educated, and the body was sent for autopsy. A legal group, too, arrived to collect evidence.
