How was the theft discovered?

Reports say that Manoj Tiwari's manager, Pramod Jogendra Pandey had lodged a complaint at Amboli police station. Pandey has been working with him for the last 20 years. He said that the cash kept in a room of the house was suddenly found missing, after which the police were immediately informed.

Who is the accused?

Investigation revealed that the person who committed the theft was Surendra Kumar Dinanath Sharma, who earlier worked with Manoj Tiwari. He was fired from his job about two years ago. Police believe that because he had complete information about the house, he found it easy to carry out the theft.

Had there been theft before?

It was also revealed in the complaint that even in June 2025, about Rs 4.40 lakh had gone missing from the cupboard. At that time someone was suspected, but no concrete evidence was found, so the matter stopped there.

How was the case revealed through CCTV?

After the first incident, CCTV cameras were installed inside the house in December 2025. On January 15, 2026, at around 9 pm, a person was caught on camera withdrawing money. After watching the footage, it became clear that it was former employee Surendra Sharma.

How did the arrest happen?

On the basis of CCTV footage, the police detained the accused. During interrogation he confessed to the theft. After this, Amboli police arrested him and seized the video recording as evidence.

Now what's next?
