New Delhi: Political rhetoric has intensified in New Delhi on China's claim regarding the India-Pakistan ceasefire. Nishikant Dubey has taken a sharp dig at Pakistan, calling it “helpless, helpless, and poor.” He also targeted Congress on this issue. Dubey says that Pakistan is repeatedly changing its position regarding ceasefire by taking names of different countries, which shows its weakness.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey made a direct attack on Pakistan through a post on social media platform X. He wrote that the saying “Garib ki lugai sab ki bhaujai” fits Pakistan perfectly. Dubey said that first Pakistan claimed that the President of America stopped the war, then took the name of the King of Saudi Arabia, and now it is quoting the President of China. He sarcastically asked how much lower Pakistan would stoop for money.
Nishikant Dubey also took Congress to task on this issue. He questioned whether the Congress Party has now stopped trusting Pakistan after the people of India. Dubey alleges that Congress's stance has consistently been against national interests, and now it is avoiding even raising questions on Pakistan's claims.
China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi recently claimed that tensions between India and Pakistan were among the "hotspot issues" that China mediated during 2025. After his statement, discussion started at the international level.
This claim of China was completely rejected by the Indian government. India clearly said that in any matter related to India-Pakistan, mediation by any third country was not accepted nor was it needed.
Despite India's denial, Pakistan has supported China's claim. Pakistan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said at a press briefing that as per his information, China's leadership was in constant touch with Pakistan's leadership. He claimed that contacts were also made with the leadership of India and Pakistan between the 6th and 10th of May.
Political experts believe that the names of different countries coming forward regarding a ceasefire show Pakistan's diplomatic confusion. India's stand in this matter has been clear and unambiguous. After the statement of Nishikant Dubey, this issue has once again come into the center of political debate, and more reactions can be seen on it in the coming days.
