Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached the state assembly on Thursday and filed his nomination for Rajya Sabha candidacy. BJP President Nitin Naveen, Ramnath Thakur, Upendra Kushwaha, and Shivesh Kumar also filed their nominations alongside the CM. Union Home Minister Amit Shah was also present during the ceremony.

What did Nitish Kumar say?

Before filing his nomination, Nitish Kumar wrote on his X, "Since the beginning of my parliamentary career, I have had a desire to become a member of both houses of the Bihar Legislative Assembly and both houses of Parliament. In line with this, I aspire to become a member of the Rajya Sabha in this election. I will support the new government of Bihar."

Reacting to Nitish's announcement, Tejashwi Yadav said that the BJP has implemented the Maharashtra model in Bihar. The BJP tortured Nitish Kumar so much that he is forced to resign. The BJP destroys its own allies.

How did RJD workers react?

Meanwhile, amid reports of CM Nitish's Rajya Sabha nomination, JDU workers have begun arriving at the CM House. The workers say, "Nitish Kumar belongs to Bihar. We will not let him go anywhere. We will sacrifice our lives." Workers are crying outside the Chief Minister's House.

The RJD workers chased away BJP minister Surendra Mehta, JDU MLC Sanjay Gandhi, and JDU MLA Prem Mukhiya, who were on their way to the Bihar Chief Minister's residence.
