Scorching Heatwave Before Nautapa: Delhi and UP Temperatures Cross 45°C, No Relief Ahead

New Delhi: The condition of North India is bad right now. Delhi, UP, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, fire is raining everywhere. If you go out on the road in the afternoon, it seems as if someone is running a heater on your face. Weather experts are saying that this condition is going to last for the next 5-6 days. No clouds, no rain, just sunshine and heat.

Has Banda crossed the limits?

Banda district of UP is breaking records this time. Banda remained the hottest in the world for the third consecutive day on Tuesday. The temperature there reached 48.2 degrees. Earlier in 2022 it was 49 degrees. After 12 noon in Banda, there is a curfew like situation on the roads. Shops closed, markets closed. The one who goes out under compulsion keeps a wet towel on his head. Government taps are also providing hot water. I can't sleep even at night because of the heat.

Where was it so hot?

After Banda, Naugaon in Madhya Pradesh was the hottest. 47 degrees there. Rohtak of Haryana is also not far behind, at 46.9 degrees. Amravati, Maharashtra, 46.8 degrees. The ridge area of  Delhi also boiled at 46.5 degrees. The condition of people in Delhi-Gurugram is miserable. ACs are also dying. When electricity goes off, people are sleeping after sprinkling water on the roof.

Is only India on the hot list of the whole world?

A site named AQI.in reveals the hottest cities in the world every hour. Now if you look at the top 100 cities in that list, you will find all of them from India only. Banda, Agra, Jhansi, Delhi, Faridabad, Chandigarh, Varanasi, Lucknow, Kanpur. Meaning, in the entire world, India is suffering the most at this time. This has never happened before.

Are mountains safe?

People used to run to Shimla-Manali to escape the heat. But this time there is no relief there either. It reached 44.6 degrees in Kathua, Jammu. 42 degrees in Jammu city. 43.4 degrees in Una, Himachal. 41 crossed in Roorkee, Uttarakhand also. The hill people are saying that even their grandfathers and great grandfathers have never seen such heat in June.

What did the weather department say?

Weather department says that the cold winds coming from the mountains have stopped. This is called western disturbance. Due to its weakening, hot wind is blowing directly from Rajasthan. This is called heat wave. Red alert has been sounded in 60 districts of UP. Meaning the situation is dangerous. Doctors are repeatedly saying that you should stay at home from 11 to 4 pm. Drink wood apple juice, lemon water, buttermilk.

Take special care of the elderly and children. When will we get relief? There is no hope right now. Monsoon has reached Kerala. It will take more than 20th June for it to reach UP-Delhi. Till then we will have to burn in this fire.
