National News:Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bodh Gaya on Friday to inaugurate and lay foundation stones for projects valued at more than ₹13,000 crore. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will join him at the event. The rally will be held on the Magadh University campus, where the prime minister will address National Democratic Alliance (NDA) workers from six districts and around 30 Assembly constituencies.

Sixth Visit to Bihar

This is PM Modi’s sixth trip to Bihar since the Lok Sabha elections held earlier this year. Over the past few months, he has addressed rallies in Jamui, Madhubani, Motihari, Siwan, and Vikramganj. His next public meeting is planned in Purnea in September. Friday’s gathering is expected to see large participation from NDA supporters in Gaya, Aurangabad, Nalanda, Jehanabad, Arwal, and Nawada districts.

Key Projects for Inauguration

The Prime Minister will dedicate six projects worth a total of ₹11,735 crore to the nation. These include:

  • A 660 MW thermal power plant in Buxar, costing ₹6,878 crore.
  • A sewage and treatment plant project in Munger with an investment of ₹523 crore.
  • The Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Muzaffarpur was constructed at a cost of ₹385 crore.
  • Expansion of NH-31 from Mokama to Simaria into four/six lanes along with a new Ganga bridge worth ₹1,871 crore.
  • Road improvement of the Bakhtiyarpur to Mokama stretch on NH-31 at ₹1,899 crore.
  • Upgradation of the Bikramganj–Davath–Nawagarh–Dumraon road into two lanes at a cost of ₹179 crore.

Foundation Stone for New Schemes

In addition, the Prime Minister will launch groundwork for eight projects valued at ₹1,257 crore. These include sewage treatment and water supply systems in Daudnagar, Aurangabad, Barhiya in Lakhisarai, Jamui, Bodh Gaya, and Jehanabad.

Housing Benefits and Railway Boost

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, about 12,000 beneficiaries in rural areas and 4,260 in urban areas will receive new houses. To mark this occasion, five families—three from villages and two from towns—will be handed symbolic keys by the Prime Minister.

In addition, Modi will flag off the Amrit Bharat Express connecting Gaya and Delhi and the Buddha Circuit train linking Vaishali and Koderma. These trains are expected to boost connectivity and tourism in the region.

Visit to Simaria

After his rally in Bodh Gaya, PM Modi will travel to Simaria in the Begusarai district by helicopter. He will inaugurate the country’s widest six-lane bridge built across the Ganga River and is likely to take a brief tour of the newly built structure before departing for Patna.

Through this visit, PM Modi aims to highlight major infrastructure and welfare projects while energizing NDA workers ahead of the crucial Bihar Assembly elections.
