Goa: Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi will unveil the 77-foot-high bronze statue of Lord Ram at the Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Mutt located in the southern part of Goa on November 28, 2025. This function is being organized on the occasion of the 550th year of that monastery.
It is reported that this 77-foot-high bronze statue is considered to be the tallest in the world. It has been created by renowned sculptor Ram V. Sutar—the same artist who designed the Statue of Unity to be built in Gujarat.
Prime Minister Modi will reach the venue at 3:45 pm. A special helipad has been prepared for them in the monastery complex. After the unveiling, he will also address a public meeting there. The ceremony will be attended by the Goa governor, chief minister, union ministers, and many dignitaries.
Apart from this, as part of the 550-year celebrations of the monastery, the Ramayana theme park and grand cultural and religious programs have also been arranged, making the celebrations last for several days.
This step is considered very important from religious, cultural, and spiritual points of view. To publicly install a massive statue that symbolizes reverence, heritage, and history—it is an honor for those who are deeply connected to Lord Ram. Along with this, in a tourism-oriented state like Goa, this place can become an attractive destination for devotees and tourists in the future.
The statue depicts Lord Ram holding a bow and arrow, and the headquarters monastery complex has been renovated, along with which a theme park and religious center have also been developed in the vicinity.
This event is being considered not just a religious event but a culturally organized effort. This expansion of the 550-year-old monastery, creating a foundation for new youth and the future—all this symbolizes the idea of a fusion of religion and modernity. Such a step instills a sense of unity, cultural pride, and religious respect among the people.
