Punjab News: Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema has denied that Punjab has an outstanding amount of Rs 12000 crore in the State Disaster Response Fund. He said that the state does not have any such money. While announcing the package for the affected people after the Prime Minister's visit to the flood-affected areas, he had said that the state has a disaster management fund of Rs 12,000 crore.

The state government can spend from that. He had also announced Rs 1600 crore, which Finance Minister Harpal Singh today described as a drop in the ocean and said that his hatred for Punjab has not diminished, so despite so much loss, the Prime Minister has only announced Rs 1600 crore.

Cheema Accuses PM Of Hatred

Harpal Cheema said that the farmers of Punjab had protested the most against the three farming laws. That is why the Prime Minister hates the people of Punjab. He suggested that the Prime Minister should take a leave of 10-12 days and meditate so that the hatred towards Punjab in his mind is reduced.

Cheema Slams PM’s Disrespectful Politics

Harpal Cheema also criticized the Prime Minister for insulting state minister Hardeep Singh Mundia and said that in a democracy it is not right to ignore the representatives of the elected government and give priority to his own party people. If he had to talk to his own party people, he would have called them to Delhi and talked to them as much as he wanted and also fed them dinner.

Cheema Labels PM Visit Flood Tourism

Describing the Prime Minister's visit as 'flood tourism and leaving', the Finance Minister said that the Prime Minister has ignored Punjab which has made the biggest contribution in maintaining the country's independence and food security, but in the name of humanity he did not forget the Taliban state of Afghanistan and relief funds were released for them only after two days.

Cheema said that the amount of Rs 1600 crore is like rubbing salt on the wounds of flood-affected farmers whose crops on more than four lakh acres have been destroyed and 51 people have lost their lives in this flood.
