Punjab News: The decisive and concrete action taken by the Aam Aadmi Party government of Punjab against adulteration and poor-quality food items has become an inspirational example for the entire country. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, it has been ensured that food security is not limited to policies only, but purity and trust reach every citizen's plate.

Food Safety Becomes Top Priority

Let us tell you that the government has launched a massive campaign across the state to check the quality of everyday items like milk, paneer, desi ghee, spices, sweets, fruits, and vegetables. In the last three years, thousands of samples were taken, and where adulteration was found, not only were the goods confiscated but also they were destroyed, and legal action was taken against the concerned traders.

For example, out of 2340 samples of paneer, more than 1000 were found to be adulterated, and about 5300 kg of paneer was confiscated and 4200 kg was destroyed. Out of 2559 milk samples, 700 were found to be substandard, and 4000 kg of milk was destroyed.

Technology And Awareness Drive Change

This campaign of the government was not limited to law, but it also got a technical and scientific basis. Mobile labs like "Food Safety on Wheels" were deployed in every district, which test food items on the spot. Institutions like the Biotechnology Incubator of Mohali, the State Food Testing Lab of Kharar, and the Veterinary University of Ludhiana have given scientific strength to this campaign.

Children’s Health Gets Prime Focus

Punjab became the first state in the country to impose a complete ban on energy drinks sold to children. Apart from this, more than 500 awareness camps were organized, and more than 150 street food hubs were awarded the 'Eat Right India' certificate. Under the Clean Campus initiative, hygiene and safe eating were promoted in schools, colleges, and public places.

Trust Between People And Government

This campaign of the Bhagwant Mann government, drawing a new line of trust, is not just an action at the administrative level, but an attempt to establish a strong relationship of trust with the public. Through this initiative, the message is clear that now in Punjab, neither health will be compromised nor adulterators will be spared. This government does not just talk but shows change on the ground. Today every Punjabi is realizing that their government is fully committed to their food, health, and future security.
