From Galwan to Balakot: Why Does Rahul Gandhi's Tongue Stumble When the Army Stands Tall?

National News: In the last few months, former Congress president and prominent opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has made many statements that raise the question of whether he also respected India's army and security agencies or not. His statements not only drop the morale of brave soldiers deployed in defense of the country but also create an atmosphere of doubt and division among the public. This situation is a serious challenge for the unity and security of the country.

Question mark on credibility of security forces

Rahul Gandhi repeatedly questions the intention and functioning of India's security agencies. Instead of standing in support of the institutions that have the burden of security of the country, they are engaged in politicizing their actions. This trend becomes even more dangerous at a time when the country needs the most solidarity and trust.

The latest example was seen at a Congress rally in Bhopal, where Rahul Gandhi accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of working with Pakistan under pressure from the US during a recent military tension. He claimed that after a phone call from Trump, the Prime Minister accepted the order of "Narendra, Surrender" and bowed down as "Yes, Sir". The Congress party also promoted this statement on social media platform X through two-panel cartoons.

Questions raised earlier, have not changed yet

This is not the first time Rahul Gandhi has questioned the might of the army. He also expressed doubts on the bravery of the army by demanding 'video proof' at the time of Surgical Strike after Balakot and Uri. Even during the Galwan struggle, when the country should have stood in solidarity and mourning, he questioned the government's policy by giving political color to the issue.

Displeasure over selected issues, silence on Pakistan's loss

While the Congress repeatedly raises questions on the losses of the Indian side, it ignores the huge loss to Pakistan. These military actions have caused the terrorist structure of Pakistan to collapse badly - this has also been accepted by fair international observers. But ignoring Rahul Gandhi's successes, it shows that there is now a political benefit above the national interest for the Congress. 

Political unity appears abroad; why not in India?

In many parts of the world-Russia-Ukraine War or Israel-Hamas Conflict-Political parties have shown solidarity with the army, no matter how deep mutual differences have been. But in India, Congress and Rahul Gandhi have made every military crisis an opportunity to attack the government, even if they are hurting the soul of the country.

True patriot supports and does not spread mistrust

India is an emerging global power and our army is honored globally. The soldiers who protect boundaries have a stake in life. In such a situation, expecting zero loss in any military campaign is not only impractical but is also an insult to the sacrifice of soldiers.  Rahul Gandhi's rhetoric breaks the morale of our soldiers and gives strength to the enemies. His statements target not only the government but also the army, which is engaged in the security of the country.

Now is the time to fulfill the responsibility of the opposition

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the government has shown clarity and perseverance in matters of national security. Now is the time that the opposition also behave with maturity and the spirit of national interest.  India's strength is in its unity. When the country is in danger, then not political selfishness, but national pride and solidarity, becomes the greatest duty.
