Jaish Terror Plot Exposed: Umar Planned Attacks on Republic Day and Diwali, Red Fort Recce Revealed

New Delhi: The layers of the blast that took place in a Hyundai i20 car near the Red Fort on Monday evening are now slowly being revealed. The investigating agencies are surprised by this. The Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) module directed by Pakistani handlers had planned serial blasts in Delhi-NCR on January 26, but the preparations were stuck in limbo. The damage was limited due to failure of the IED assembly in the blast. NIA seized 2900 kg of explosives from Faridabad, and the suicide attack of Dr. Umar Nabi (Pulwama) happened in a hurry.

Investigation revealed that Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists had conducted a reconnaissance of the Red Fort in the first week of January. Dr. Umar Nabi and his colleague Dr. Muzammil confirmed the recce from mobile dump data. Blasts were planned in the Red Fort and markets on January 26 but had to be canceled due to material shortage. When Jammu Commission Police got wind of this, the search started from Pulwama to Delhi-NCR. Frustrated, Umar committed suicide on Monday evening.  Agencies described it as a 'panic attack,' where rumors of raids caused panic.

From which chemical was the bomb made? 

The IED was ammonium nitrate based, but the assembly was done incorrectly. The blast did not create a crater, and no shrapnel was found. Parts of the damaged i20 were sent to Rohini FSL. NIA, CBI, and the FSL team are testing the samples. The chemicals were washed away with fire-extinguishing water, so the exact composition is not known even after 3 days. Experts suspect that high-grade military explosives were used. 200 samples have been sent to the lab. The spot has been surrounded with a white sheet.
 
What is the role of the Pak handler?

NIA busted a JeM module in Faridabad and seized 2900 kg of explosives and weapons. In this case, the network of doctors was seen in the form of professionals like Umar and Muzammil. Handler giving instructions, revenge for 'Operation Vermillion.'
