Maharashtra News: Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) MP and thoughtful leader Sanjay Raut has created a stir in the political world with the release of his new book 'Narkatala Swarg'. This book is a live and frank document of his jail visit, which hits hard on the oppressive policies of the government and the challenges of democracy. In this book, Sanjay Raut has presented the experiences inside the jail in such a way that it is not only the story of a prisoner, but also the echo of a political revolution.

Reality inside the prison: Prisoner among rats

Raut, while describing the harsh and ironic reality inside the jail, said that rats as big as rabbits used to roam around in the jail. The question arose in his mind that where do these rats get so much food from, when the prisoners do not even get food properly? Many rats were even named, which is a sharp satire on the arrangements of the jail administration. This kind of experience shows that the jail is not only a prison house, but is also a witness to the harsh realities of politics.

“We are not gangsters, but patriots”

Sanjay Raut spoke about the hardships of his prison life without any self-pity. He stressed, “We are not criminals, but sentinels of democracy. We are not afraid of going to jail. Our courage and passion are no less than the flame that challenges the power.” This not only shows the strength of his personality, but also strengthens the voice of the opposition.

Imprisoned in the barrack built for Kasab

The most shocking revelation was that Raut was kept in a special barrack built for Mumbai attack terrorist Ajmal Kasab. He said that this barrack was designed by the then minister Jayant Patil. Raut described this prison experience as a bitter but necessary lesson of life. His revelations throw light on the truth of political repression.

Saamana's sharp writing and government's concerns

Even while inside the jail, Sanjay Raut's 'Saamana' newspaper continued to make sarcastic remarks against the government. This was a big blow to the government and an investigation was also conducted, but Raut's truth could not be suppressed. This proves that the power of thought and word can cross even the prison walls.

Sharad Pawar's support and debate on democracy

Senior NCP leader Sharad Pawar said on this occasion that today's government has shaken democracy by targeting the opposition. He clearly said that "If there is a change of power in the future, then it will be necessary to reconsider laws like ED, because these laws are shaking the foundation of democracy." This has made the opposition's protest even more organized and effective.
