National news: The Uttar Pradesh government has planned to merge more than 5,000 government schools. This move will directly affect the education of lakhs of children. Poor families fear their children’s future is being destroyed. Parents are asking where their kids will study. Carrying this concern, Sanjay Singh has knocked on the doors of the Supreme Court.

On August 18, the Supreme Court bench took up the case. Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice A.G. Masih heard the matter seriously. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal presented the pain of parents and children. Now the Court’s decision will determine whether children’s rights remain protected or compromised.

This merger move will impact nearly 27,000 schools. Around 1,35,000 assistant teachers and 27,000 headmasters face termination. Even cooks and para-teachers may lose their jobs. This is not just an attack on education, but on livelihoods too. For lakhs of families, it is a double crisis of learning and employment.

Blow To Public Education

In the last 10 years, government schools have declined by 8%. Meanwhile, private schools have grown by almost 15%. Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh show the steepest fall. This clearly reveals a systematic weakening of public education. The trend has alarmed ordinary citizens who depend on government schools.

AAP’s Opposite Approach

In Delhi and Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party has rebuilt government schools into modern learning centers. Even the poorest children are studying with advanced facilities. The Delhi model is now admired nationwide. Against this backdrop, Sanjay Singh’s stand in UP gives hope to millions of families. They believe their children’s dreams can still be saved.

Turning Into A Movement

Sanjay Singh has taken the fight beyond the courtroom. He has mobilized parents and teachers, turning it into a people’s movement. He insists that closing schools means stealing children’s dreams. For him, this battle is not political but generational. It is about defending the right to education for the weakest.

Eyes On The Court Verdict

Now the entire nation is watching the Supreme Court. Its verdict will shape the future of millions of children. Sanjay Singh has emerged as a true champion for parents and students. He has proved that the fight for education is the greatest form of public service. Families are praying for a judgment that protects their children.
