National News: The late Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala may have left the world for three years, but his popularity and heritage is still alive. Now a new documentary has come into the discussion with them, which has been created by BBC World Service. Regarding this documentary, Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh has lodged a strong protest and has demanded the police to stop its screening.

Objection to screening of BBC documentary

Balkaur Singh submitted a complaint to Juhu police station and Maharashtra DGP in Mumbai, saying that the BBC World Service is going to screen the documentary at 3 pm on June 11 at Juhu. According to him, invitations have also been released for this program, but no permission was taken from the family before making the documentary.

Claim of 'unseen information' in documentary

In the complaint, Balkaur Singh said that in the documentary, it is being claimed to show many "unseen information" related to Sidhu Moosewala's personal life and murder. He alleges that this project also includes interviews of those who are named in Sidhu's murder case. He feared that this could not only harm his son's image, but it may also affect the judicial process.

Balkaur Singh warns to go to court

Balkaur Singh made it clear that if the screening is not stopped, they would be forced to take legal steps. He says that this documentary can incorrectly present the legacy of Sidhu Moosewala and can hurt the sentiments of the family. He also said that the family was not given any prior information about this project.

Spill pain again on the third anniversary

Significantly, on May 29, Sidhu Moosewala was the third death anniversary. On this occasion, the emotional posts and videos shared by fans and family on social media were once again showing deep feelings towards Sidhu. In such a situation, the controversy over the documentary is hurting his fans.

BBC statement has not come yet

So far there has been no official response to the BBC World Service or the Mumbai Police on the matter. Families and fans are now monitoring what steps the administration takes to stop this screening.
