Here's what SC said:
The bench of justices Sandeep Mehta, Vikram Nath, and NV Anjaria, who are viewing the stray dog-bite incidents via a suo motu proceeding, directed that all stray dogs in these premises must be captured, sterilised and vaccinated.
In his order, Justice Mehta said, “They will not be released back in the same area since releasing them back will frustrate the very purpose of the directive of the court.”
Meanwhile, lawyer Sunil Lamba talking about the case said, ''In the case concerning stray dogs, lawyer Sunil Lamba says, "...The Supreme Court has ruled that all stray dogs and cattle on national highways must be immediately removed. A rural officer will be appointed to ensure this. This is a very harsh order, yet I still have hope and faith in divine justice..."
