In a surprising political move, Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, visited the Samajwadi Party (SP) office in Patna on Wednesday. He met SP leaders and was welcomed with a bouquet by party workers. Tej Pratap, known for his unique style, made a light-hearted comment in a tone similar to his father, saying, “Oh brother, what is this? The same bouquet is being handed over by everyone one by one!” His visit has raised political speculation, especially since he was recently expelled from the RJD. After his removal, he had also spoken to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who asked him where he planned to contest the elections from.

Political Buzz Over Independent Candidacy and SP Meetings

After being expelled from the RJD, Tej Pratap has already announced that he will contest independently from Mahua. Now, with him talking to Akhilesh Yadav and suddenly visiting the SP office, political speculation has intensified. There are growing assumptions that he might be considering joining the Samajwadi Party.

It should be noted that in a rally held in Muzaffarpur on Tuesday, Lalu’s elder son Tej Pratap said, “I was expelled from the party. Some traitors (Jai Chand) felt that another Lalu Prasad Yadav — Tej Pratap Yadav — has been born, which started bothering them.” He added, “Whether it is me or my brother Tejashwi, whatever we wear and speak, it is the legacy of our father Lalu Yadav and our mother Rabri Devi.”

Yellow Cap Signals New Political Path for Tej Pratap

After being ousted from the RJD, Tej Pratap Yadav has adopted a new tactic by wearing a yellow cap and may now pose challenges for his brother Tejashwi Yadav. Recently, Tej Pratap had also raised questions about the behavior of RJD leader Bhai Virendra. Now, by replacing the green cap with a yellow one, it appears that Tej Pratap’s attitude has also changed. Given his current posture, the RJD will need to prepare itself for fresh challenges.
