Hyderabad: Major news is emerging from Telangana's Nampally Railway Station. On Friday evening, a fire broke out in two AC coaches of the Hyderabad-Jaipur Special Express at Nampally Railway Station. There are no reports of any casualties in this incident. Upon receiving the information, firefighters immediately rushed to the station and began operations to extinguish the blaze. The fire was brought under control with the assistance of three fire tenders.
According to railway officials, flames began to rise from coaches B1 and B2—both 3-tier AC compartments—just moments before the train's scheduled departure for Jaipur (at 7:00 PM). Upon receiving the alert, firefighters immediately arrived at the station and commenced firefighting operations. The fire was successfully brought under control with the help of three fire tenders.
Officials stated that a major disaster was averted because no passengers were present inside the affected coaches at the time the fire broke out. Alert railway staff evacuated passengers from adjacent compartments and assisted emergency teams in extinguishing the fire.
The cause of the fire has not yet been ascertained. A detailed investigation into this incident is expected to be conducted by railway officials.
