National News: The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has taken strict action against officials who failed to attend an important review meeting. Five officials were penalized as their salaries were withheld by Divisional Commissioner Anil Dhingra. A formal report has also been sent to the state administration recommending departmental action against these officials.
During the review meeting, CM Yogi emphasized the need to strengthen healthcare services across the state. He instructed officials to take strict action against intermediaries and groups often referred to as the “patient mafia,” who exploit patients in hospitals. The meeting, held on Sunday at the Annexi building, was part of a broader review of development projects in Uttar Pradesh.
The Chief Minister stressed that any form of malpractice, including misuse of ambulance services or manipulation by middlemen, must be stopped immediately. He urged officials to ensure that such illegal practices cannot thrive in the medical field.
CM Yogi also directed officials to be sensitive to citizens’ problems and ensure their prompt resolution. He made it clear that delays or negligence in addressing public complaints will not be tolerated, and strict action will be taken against those who fail in their duties.
These instructions were reinforced during the CM’s public interaction at Gorakhnath Temple on Sunday morning. As part of a two-day visit to Gorakhpur, CM Yogi listened to the concerns of nearly 200 citizens at the Mahant Digvijaynath Smriti Sabha Hall, personally noting issues that require immediate attention.
During the public hearing, a woman from Agra raised concerns about not having a house. The Chief Minister personally assured her that under government housing schemes, every eligible citizen will receive proper housing. He emphasized that no one should be left disappointed and the administration is committed to providing housing efficiently.
By withholding salaries and recommending departmental action, the UP government has sent a strong message that negligence and lack of accountability will not be tolerated. This action reflects the administration’s zero-tolerance policy and commitment to improving governance, especially in healthcare and public services.
CM Yogi’s hands-on approach, from reviewing development projects to addressing citizens’ concerns directly, underlines the government’s focus on transparency, accountability, and efficient public service. Officials are expected to follow these directives strictly to maintain public trust in governance.
