New Delhi: On June 14, weather activity in North India will be influenced by a Western Disturbance. Scattered to heavy rainfall is likely across Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. These regions may experience thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph. Scattered rain and thunderstorms are also possible around Sunday in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and western Uttar Pradesh. While maximum temperatures may gradually rise by 3–5°C, minimum temperatures are expected to remain below normal. Farmers and the general public in these states are advised to remain alert to the possibility of storms.

Scattered rainfall is expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal on Sunday. Heavy rainfall may occur in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim. Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura will experience rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms between June 14 and 18. Warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall have been issued for Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh around June 14–16. Strong winds (40–60 kmph) and potential flood-like conditions in these areas could disrupt transport and agriculture.

Weather conditions in Central India will be mixed. Scattered rainfall and thunderstorms are likely in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Vidarbha on Sunday. Heatwave conditions may persist in Vidarbha until June 16, whereas relief is expected in Marathwada and Telangana after Sunday. Chhattisgarh may experience thunderstorms with wind speeds of 30–50 kmph between June 14 and 16. Residents of these states should take precautions against heatwaves, paying special attention to the elderly and children. No significant change in maximum temperatures is expected.

What is Weather Outlook for Rajasthan and Gujarat?

Rainfall activity will remain limited across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Goa. Scattered rainfall, thunderstorms, and dust storms are likely in eastern and western Rajasthan on June 14. The possibility of scattered rain accompanied by thunderstorms will persist in Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada between June 14 and 18. Heatwave conditions will continue in parts of Rajasthan until Sunday, after which temperatures may see a slight change. Farmers in these regions need to remain vigilant to protect their crops.

Active Monsoon in Kerala and Karnataka?

The monsoon will remain active across South India, covering Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. Widespread rainfall is expected along the coasts of Kerala and Karnataka from June 14 to 18, with a warning for heavy rain in Kerala. Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, and Telangana may experience scattered rainfall and thunderstorms accompanied by winds blowing at speeds of 30–50 kmph. Lakshadweep will also witness a spell of rain. Fishermen and the general public are advised to exercise caution due to the potential risks of flooding, waterlogging, and crop damage in these states.
