New Delhi: India crushed Afghanistan by 9 wickets in the 3rd ODI on Saturday. The match was at the Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium. India won this three-match series 3-0. Afghanistan chose to batting and scored 218 runs in 44.2 overs. India chased it down within 28.4 overs.

How Prasidh Krushna had played?

Prasidh Krishna was the standout bowler and took 5 wickets. He also gave away only 23 runs to the contenders. The batting of Afghanistan collapsed early. They lost their first four wickets for just 36 runs. Krishna got the opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz early. He also took out Rahmat Shah, Ibrahim Zadran, and Darwish Rasuli.

Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi and Ajmatullah Omarzai steadied the ship. They put on a 105-run partnership for the 5th wicket. Omarzai hit 50 off 56 balls. Shahidi finished with 102 runs off 131 balls with 13 fours and a six. It was his first ODI century.

For India, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 110 off 86 balls. He hit 14 fours and 3 sixes. Rohit Sharma made 79 off 69 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. Shreyas Iyer was 20 not out. Jaiswal and Iyer put on an unbeaten partnership after Rohit got out. They shut down Afghanistan's bowling attack. India had already won the series in the first two matches. They beat Afghanistan by 7 wickets in Dharamshala. Then they won by 170 runs in Lucknow. This was India's sixth win in seven ODIs against Afghanistan. Afghanistan still hasn't beaten India in ODI cricket.
