Watching the rising tension between Pakistan and India, the BCCI has made a significant decision. IPL has been suspended, soon BCCI can make the announcement. On Wednesday, Pakistan launched drone attacks on many cities in India. But India gave a worthy response to Pakistan and downed its drones and missiles. But the effect of this attack was felt on the IPL. The 58th match of the season was also underway between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings in Dharamsala, which was halted in mid-play.

IPL 2025 has been suspended

Since the terrorist strike in Pahalgam on April 22, India has responded very boldly against Pakistan. India attacked nine terror targets across Pakistan and PoK in the Operation Sindoor. Since that time, Pakistan has been dismayed. He has committed various nefarious actions one after the other to which he has received a proper counter-reaction also. In that case, following consultation with the Center and all franchises and stakeholders, it has been decided to postpone the IPL. That is, the remaining matches will be conducted later on. The decision regarding when and where the remaining matches are going to be played has not yet been taken.

BCCI under such a situation will now keep foreign players

Just some time back reports were there which stated that overseas players who play in the tournament are stating they want to come back to their nation. The BCCI under such a situation will now keep foreign players' homecoming earliest to their own nation. My dear, his family and overseas players are just in India at present. In such a circumstance, the BCCI doesn't want to assume any risk. Deferring to the suspension of the league, a BCCI official informed PTI, "It does not look good that cricket goes on when the country is at war."

There remain 16 matches in the season

57 matches have been played so far in the ongoing season of IPL. Meanwhile, 58th match was being interrupted in the middle. Meanwhile, a total of 74 matches were to be played in the season, which was going to end on May 25 in Kolkata. Under such circumstances, a new timetable will be drawn for the remaining matches. Previously in 2021, this happened again when the league's middle season was interrupted. IPL 2021 got cancelled because of Corona. Afterwards, the rest of the matches took place in the UAE.
