Just some time back reports were there which stated that overseas players who play in the tournament are stating they want to come back to their nation. Deferring to the suspension of the league, a BCCI official informed PTI, "It does not look good that cricket goes on when the country is at war."

There remain 16 matches in the season

57 matches have been played so far in the ongoing season of IPL. Meanwhile, 58th match was being interrupted in the middle. Meanwhile, a total of 74 matches were to be played in the season, which was going to end on May 25 in Kolkata. Under such circumstances, a new timetable will be drawn for the remaining matches.
