Kolkata: The Delhi Capitals defeated the Kolkata Knight Riders by 40 runs in the final league match of IPL 2026 on Sunday evening at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Batting first, the Delhi Capitals posted a total of 203 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Kolkata team could only manage to score 163 runs in 18.4 overs. For Kolkata, Captain Ajinkya Rahane was the top scorer with 63 runs. For Delhi, Kuldeep Yadav and Lungi Ngidi claimed three wickets each. With this result, the Delhi Capitals finished the season in sixth place, while KKR finished in seventh place.
