New Delhi: Rohit Sharma, famously known as 'The Hitman,' has appeared to be in fine form during IPL 2026. He has already amassed 113 runs across the first two matches. Representing the Mumbai Indians (MI), Rohit played a blistering innings of 78 runs off just 38 balls against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), featuring six fours and an equal number of sixes.

On Saturday, against the Delhi Capitals (DC), he scored 35 runs off 26 balls, aided by five fours and one six. The 38-year-old Rohit has now completed a special milestone in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The only player ahead of 'The Hitman' on this list is the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) star batsman, Virat Kohli.

What landmark did Rohit Sharma Achieve?

In fact, Rohit has become only the second batsman in the IPL to cross the 30-run mark on 100 occasions. He has been playing in the IPL since 2008, the year the Indian league commenced. He made his IPL debut playing for the Deccan Chargers. He has been playing for the Mumbai Indians since 2011. The record for the most 30-plus scores in the IPL belongs to Kohli, who has achieved this feat 127 times. The top 10 list features eight Indian cricketers. Australia's formidable former opening batsman, David Warner, holds the third spot; he scored 30-plus runs 96 times in the IPL. He no longer plays in the IPL.
