AUS vs IND, 2nd ODI: Rohit Sharma, known as the 'Hitman' just added another feather to his cap. The ace Indian cricketer became the first batter to reach the 1,000-run milestone in away ODI between India and Australia, while playing Down Under.
Rohit made this record in the second ODI of the three-match series being held at the Adelaide Oval. Earlier, this record was with Virat Kohli, and he now stands second on the list currently with 802 runs to his name.
With this new addition in his records, Rohit has now become the fifth player to achieve the milestone. With this new feat, Rohit has now joined Viv Richards, Desmond Haynes, Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene, who were the only players to have made this record.
Interestingly, Rohit made this record in the third over of the first innings against Australian pacer Mitchell Starc.
