Colombo: The T20 World Cup 2026 match between India and Pakistan is scheduled to be played in Colombo on February 15. Ahead of this match, Pakistan stars Sahibzada Farhan and Usman Tariq have issued a warning to Team India captain Suryakumar Yadav and the other Indian players. Pakistan cricket team star Sahibzada Farhan has promised that his team will play with a completely different mindset when the two teams face off in Colombo on February 15.
Farhan, along with his teammate Usman Tariq, expressed confidence that Pakistan will give India a tough fight and sounded a warning for Suryakumar Yadav and company.
Speaking to reporters after Pakistan's victory against the USA, Farhan said that the upcoming match against India is not a big deal. He said that Pakistan is at the top of Group A after winning two matches and the team is full of confidence.
The opener, who was named Player of the Match for his 73-run innings, said the team has faced India before and will approach the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 match with a different mindset.
He said, "Look, when you win two matches and are at the top of the table, you gain confidence. The upcoming match isn't a big deal. This isn't our first time playing them. We've played them before, and this time we'll play with a different mindset. You've seen us in this change. You've seen our struggles in the middle order. You've seen Shadab scoring runs, Nawaz scoring runs. So hopefully, you'll enjoy our match against them."
Pakistan spinner Usman Tariq believes the Indian batsmen will face additional pressure when playing them. Usman, whose bowling action recently came under scrutiny, took 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs against the United States.
Responding to a question about the ongoing discussion among Indian fans about his action, Usman said that he is focusing solely on his game and is not influenced by outside noise. He said, "I believe there will be additional pressure on him. Because the way they are discussing these things, if they are objecting like this, it seems that there may be additional pressure on him."
