Bihar Cricket Association is going to start BPL on the lines of IPL, in which Vaibhav Suryavanshi is likely to play. He can be the star face of that league i.e. brand ambassador. BPL will start from June 1, while its final will be on the day Team India becomes the world champion.
Now you must be wondering what is the meaning of the final on the day when Team India becomes the world champion? Actually, the final of BPL, which starts on June 1, will be played on June 25.
A total of 6 cities will play in BPL i.e. Bihar Premier League, which can be from Patna, Gaya, Darbhanga, Ara, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur. However, these cities are yet to get approval from the BPL Governing Council as teams. All the matches of BPL, which will run for 25 days, will be played at Patna's Urja Stadium. The minimum amount for purchasing teams in BPL has been kept at Rs 5 crore per year. Every franchise will also have to deposit security money of Rs 50 lakh, which will be interest free. This money will be returned to the franchises after the league ends.
Bihar Cricket Association organized BCL in the year 2021, which was watched by more than 60 lakh people in 29 countries. Now Bihar Cricket Association is going to present BCL to the world as BPL.
