Chhattisgarh: Private Aircraft crashes into hill in Jashpur; Administrative officials reach incident spot

Jashpur: An incident involving a private aircraft crashing into a hill has been reported in the Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. According to local residents, a private plane collided with a hill, shortly after which plumes of smoke became visible. Upon receiving information about the incident, an administrative team—including the Superintendent of Police (SP) and the District Collector—rushed to the scene. However, it is being claimed that no aircraft wreckage has been recovered from the site so far.

According to preliminary reports, the accident occurred at the Ara Hill in Narayanpur. A private aircraft crashed into the hill at this location. Following the crash, flames were seen rising from Ara Hill. As soon as news of the accident broke, the police administration—led by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Lal Umend Singh—departed for the site.

Are Police Teams at the Scene?

According to local villagers, the aircraft was flying at a low altitude when it struck some trees before crashing into the hill. Immediately after the collision, flames and thick plumes of black smoke were observed rising from the site, triggering panic in the surrounding villages. It remains unclear at this stage exactly how many people were on board the private aircraft. Police teams have not yet recovered any wreckage related to the crash.

Is There Official Confirmation of the Incident?

It is reported that the crash site is completely surrounded by hills, making it extremely difficult for rescue teams to reach the location. Furthermore, there has been no official confirmation of the incident as of yet.
