Abhijit Dipke’s CJP issues clarion call from Jantar Mantar; urges nationwide student movement on July 24

New Delhi: Abhijit Dipke’s Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) announced on Thursday that it would take the ongoing student protest at Jantar Mantar a step further. The CJP has appealed to students across the country to stage protests in every district on Friday. A poster shared on the CJP’s social media platform, X, calls upon students nationwide to hold peaceful demonstrations on July 24. Students have been protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar for the past month.

What demands has CJP put forward? 

To this end, the CJP has outlined five key points. First, it advises seeking administrative permission; students should apply for the protest by writing to the local police. It suggests keeping the approval letter on hand and confirming details such as contact numbers and timings. It also recommends seeking legal advice promptly regarding the march component. Additionally, the party has called for the creation of posters and visual designs, as well as appeals on social media to encourage more student participation. Instructions have been given to print posters and banners and to conduct the march peacefully.
Earlier, reiterating its demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the CJP stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement regarding action on paper leak cases failed to address the issue of accountability. In a post on 'X' earlier that morning, Modi announced the establishment of fast-track courts to ensure swift and severe punishment for those involved in paper leaks, stating, "Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth."

Did CJP Demand Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation? 

In his post, PM Modi stated, "Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth. Those who play with the future of our youth will not be spared." Amidst ongoing protests by young people over the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) paper leak, the Prime Minister also announced the government's decision to set up fast-track courts to ensure the strictest possible punishment for those involved in such cases. Reacting to the Prime Minister's post on 'X', CJP founder Abhijit Deepke shared a photograph of Pradhan bearing the caption, "My name is nothing." Meanwhile, CJP posted, "Dharmendra Pradhan should resign."
