Ratia: Shakti Natak Club, Ratia, staged a vivid and emotionally engaging performance of the Tadka Vadh episode on the third day of its historic Ramlila on Monday night. The event was held at the Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Gurudwara Ground in Shakti Nagar. As Lord Shri Ram, revered as Maryada Purushottam, killed the demoness Tadka and freed the sages from her terror, the entire venue echoed with chants of “Jai Shri Ram.”
The third day’s Ramlila began with the chief guests, Rajpal Grover, president of the Arorvansh Mahasabha, Ratia, and Vipin Bansal, owner of Ashoka Oil, jointly lighting the ceremonial lamp.

The third day’s performance depicted Tadka as a powerful demoness who spread terror throughout the forest. The sages faced difficulties performing their penances and conducting sacred rituals because of her fear. She disrupted religious ceremonies and terrorised those who entered the forest.
According to the episode, Maharishi Vishwamitra travelled to Ayodhya and requested King Dasharath to send his sons, Lord Shri Ram and Lakshman, to protect the sages’ sacrificial rituals. Following their guru’s instructions, the two princes accompanied him into the forest, where Lord Shri Ram killed Tadka with a single arrow.
After Tadka’s death, her sons, Marich and Subahu, attacked with their army. Ram and Lakshman defeated them, although Marich managed to flee from the battlefield.
During the same sequence, a messenger from King Janak of Mithila arrived and invited Guru Vishwamitra, along with Lord Shri Ram and Lakshman, to Sita’s Swayamvar ceremony.
