New Delhi: "She's our mother... She might be able to live without us, but we can't live without her, even for a moment. There's a fight between our parents, what's our fault?" This anguished plea comes from two innocent siblings, just 14 and 12 years old. At an age when they should be playing and studying, these children have taken to court to mend their broken family. This case is from Amla in Betul district, Madhya Pradesh. Amidst their parents' mutual dispute, the children have appealed to the judicial magistrate's court for a secure future and their parents' love.
According to reports, the children's parents have been at odds for the past two years. Their dispute escalated to the point where the matter reached the court. The mother has filed for divorce, while the father has filed a petition to remain with his wife. Both parties are leveling various allegations against each other, which are currently being heard in court. However, this parental conflict is harming the two children, whose childhoods are being sacrificed by this conflict.
According to information received, the children's father is a resident of the Amla block. He was previously a driver, but now works as a laborer to support his two children. The children currently live with their father. Meanwhile, their mother has abandoned them and their father and is living in a live-in relationship with a Panchayat Secretary from Junnardev block in Chhindwara district. The children's primary request to the court is that their mother return from that relationship to her family and children so that their shattered home can be restored.
On behalf of the children, their lawyer, Shivam Upadhyay, filed a petition in the Amla court. The children expressed their emotional support and expressed their need for the love and support of both their mother and father. They demanded that their mother live with them and that no third party interfere in their parents' relationship. Given the children's critical condition and vulnerability, the lawyer requested that the court send them a notification via WhatsApp, which the court has granted.
