Vrindavan: The Allahabad High Court could not hear a petition on Friday concerning the suspicious death of Rasik Dulari Sharan, also known as Deepak Lodhi, a disciple of Sant Premanand. The next hearing in the matter has now been scheduled for December 7.

The petition seeks a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the circumstances surrounding the disciple's death, along with appropriate compensation for his family members.

The petition was filed by Vrindavan-based advocate Prahlad Krishna Shukla before the Allahabad High Court. It calls for an independent investigation into the death and financial relief for the deceased's family.

Why was the scheduled hearing postponed?

The matter was initially listed for hearing in Courtroom No. 48 before a division bench comprising Justice Chandradhari Singh and Justice Tarun Saxena.

However, as the bench did not assemble, the case was transferred to Courtroom No. 46, where it was placed before the bench of Justice Rajiv Gupta and Justice Devendra Singh-I.

Advocate Prahlad Krishna Shukla confirmed that the court has fixed December 7 as the next date of hearing.

The case will now come up before the High Court on the scheduled date, with the petitioner's demands for an SIT investigation and compensation remaining before the court for consideration.
