UP International Trade Show 2026 Begins in Greater Noida, Amit Shah and CM Yogi Inaugurate Event

Greater Noida: The fourth edition of Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) started from Friday at India Expo Center and Mart in Greater Noida. This five-day long event will run from 25 to 29 September. Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the trade show. In the event, emphasis is being laid on connecting the products, industries and MSMEs of Uttar Pradesh with the markets of the country and abroad.

Which countries' participation has increased this time?

Austria, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Belarus and Vietnam are participating in UPITS 2026 as partner countries. Through the presence of these countries, efforts are being made to increase opportunities for trade, technology, investment and connectivity with new markets. According to the organisers, this time more than 550 international buyers from 85 countries are expected to arrive. Registration for foreign buyers has been done from 72 countries.

How many traders and exhibitors will arrive?

More than 2,400 exhibitors are expected to attend the trade show. Apart from this, more than 1.5 lakh B2B buyers and traders and about 4.5 lakh general visitors are expected to come. The event also features B2B meetings, networking and business sessions for direct business interaction between buyers and exhibitors.

How will MSMEs get the benefit?

Information has been given by the state government that there are more than 96 lakh MSME units in Uttar Pradesh. Through trade shows, the focus is on taking the products of these units to larger markets, attracting investment and creating opportunities for business expansion. Products from agriculture, automobile, electric vehicles, defence, electronics, IT, health, food processing, textiles, tourism, renewable energy and many other sectors are being showcased at the event.

What's new this time with ODOP?

In this edition, along with 'One District, One Product' i.e. ODOP, 'One District, One Cuisine' is also being given prominence. Under this, traditional dishes, local taste and food heritage of different districts of the state will be presented to the national and foreign buyers. According to the organisers, its aim is to give a global platform to the local identity of Uttar Pradesh along with business.

What arrangements have been made for the buyers?

The Hosted Buyer Program of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations is being used to connect foreign buyers. It will connect importers, distributors, retailers, sourcing agents and purchasing officers with exhibitors. Apart from this, buyers and exhibitors can schedule business meetings in advance through UPITS app.

How long will the event last?

UPITS 2026 will also host business engagements with knowledge sessions, cultural programmes, fashion shows and other activities. This event will continue till 29 September. The state government and India Exposition Mart Limited are jointly organising it.
