Tech News: India has now taken a big step regarding the possibility of espionage being done through Chinese technology. This decision is not only important from the security point of view, but it also shows India's strategic acumen. In fact, just as China has been accused of spying around the world through electronic devices, to stop the same espionage tactics, India has now started strict investigation of every CCTV camera, adopting Chanakya Niti.

This decision is not like a direct war against China, but it is definitely an intellectual and technical attack that can make Jinping lose sleep. The Indian government has now made security checks mandatory on all CCTV cameras sold in the country. In this, not only the hardware of the camera will be checked, but the software used in it and its source code will also be closely examined.

Security Concerns Prompt CCTV Policy Shift

The government has taken this step due to the apprehension that China is spying on India through these cameras. If sources are to be believed, India's intelligence system had also received some technical clues, after which this strict decision was taken. This new policy is no less than a shock for CCTV manufacturing companies. Especially those companies which were importing equipment from China or whose software was linked to China. Now they will have to send every product of theirs to a government approved lab for testing.

No Compromise on Security: Govt on CCTV

Companies have complained that this will disrupt supply and supply may fall short of demand in a large market like India. But the Indian government says that there is no bigger issue than security. Global surveillance equipment companies have approached the Indian government regarding this policy and have demanded some relaxation. But the Modi government has made it clear that there will be no compromise on the question of security. This policy is an indication that India is now rapidly moving towards self-reliance in technical matters and foreign companies will not be able to do as they please.

India Sends Strong Message to China

This policy will also strengthen Make in India in the country as local manufacturers can now prove to be more reliable. China will now be keeping an eye on India's strategy because the technology that it was secretly using against India has now come on the radar of India's security agencies. This move of India shows that it is now fully prepared not only on the borders but also in the digital war. This is a clear signal for Jinping that India will no longer let any 'spying trick' work easily.
