New Delhi: Tech company SanDisk has launched its new compact storage device Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive. The company claims that this is the world's smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive. This flash drive is designed with a “plug-and-stay” design. This means that it can be inserted into the device and remain there forever and it does not come out much. Despite its small size, this flash drive gives fast speed. It has a USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface and it supports a read speed up to 400 MB per second. With this, large files like videos, photos or documents can be transferred much faster.
The SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive is offered in multiple storage options. It is available in variants up to 64GB, 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. For users who need more storage, the 1TB model will be the best option, in which large amounts of data can be stored.
The starting price of this flash drive is said to be around Rs 2,000, which is for the 64GB model. Whereas the price of the 1TB variant can be more than Rs 17,000. Its price varies according to different storage options.
This flash drive can be used with many devices with USB-C ports. It supports platforms like Windows, macOS and iPadOS. Apart from this, it can be easily used in laptops, tablets and some smartphones with a USB-C port. The company says that due to its small size, large storage capacity and fast speed, this flash drive will be especially useful for those users who always need to keep extra storage with them.
