New Delhi: A unique video of the first AC coupe of Indian Railways is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In the video, the entire coupe is seen decorated with flowers, colourful balloons and fairy lights. It is being claimed that this decoration was done for a newly married couple. After the video surfaced, different types of reactions were being seen on social media. While some people are praising this unique idea, many users are raising questions regarding the permission of the railways.
According to the information, this video was first shared on Instagram by 'Rahat Room Decoration', an event decoration service based in Jalna, Maharashtra. According to the decorator, the first AC coupe of the Chennai bound train was decorated at a railway station in Maharashtra. However, it is not clear whether official permission was taken from the Indian Railways for this decoration or not.
The video starts with the train standing on the platform. After this the camera reaches inside the first AC coach. A curtain of pink beads and a heart-shaped decoration are seen at the entrance of the respective compartment. The ceiling inside is covered with red and white balloons. The floor is strewn with rose petals, while the walls and windows are decorated with flower garlands. The berth has a heart shape made of red and white flowers and the upper berth has 'I Love You' decorations. Fairy lights have also been installed throughout the coupe.
After the video went viral, many people named it 'Suhagrat Express'. Some users called it a new business model for the railways and said that if such a facility is provided as per the rules, passengers will get a better experience. Many people raised questions whether the railways had given permission for such decoration and whether safety rules were followed.
At present, no official statement has come from Indian Railways regarding this viral video or decoration. According to media reports, feedback has been sought from railways and related decoration services in this matter. The situation awaits clarity regarding permissions and rules.
