Gorkha Issue Will Be Resolved Within 6 Months Of BJP Govt: Amit Shah's Big Assurance In Darjeeling (X)
Kurseong: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has promised a permanent solution to the Gorkha issue within six months of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forming a government in West Bengal. The saffron party leader was addressing an election rally in support of BJP candidates from the Darjeeling, Kurseong and Kalimpong assembly constituencies in Sukna, near Siliguri, on Tuesday.
Amit Shah during the rally said that this solution will be in accordance with the wishes of the Gorkhas, and that a permanent solution will bring joy to the faces of Gorkha brothers and sisters.
"Mamata didi has tried to suppress the history of Gorkha. Now it is time to end the injustice against Gorkha. Darjeeling has to make Congress, Communists and Mamata pay. They have painted our hills with blood but I say this under Narendra Modi ji's leadership, we will put an end to this injustice," he said.

The Union Home Minister also said that this time the BJP will form the government in the state. People will say goodbye to Mamata Didi's government, which has committed atrocities against the people of the hills and Gorkhas.
"There are hundreds of false cases against our Gorkha brothers. We will withdraw all cases before July 31. They have supressed the Gorkha movement. We will ensure teh cases are withdrawn. We Will also bring a solution that will ensure you do not have to protest," he added.
The Union Home Minister further stated that this West Bengal poll is an election for freedom from the Trinamool Congress government. A lotus-like government is about to be formed in the state.
Amit Shah also stated that scams have occurred under the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration. Once the BJP forms the government in the state, this will be investigated. Furthermore, all cases filed against Gorkhas by the Trinamool Congress government during the hill protests will be dropped.

Apart from this, while attacking Mamata government, Amit Shah further said that, for the development of hills including Gorkha and tribal community, Bengal government allocates a budget of Rs 2,000 crore, whereas the budget for Muslims and Madrasa is Rs 5,800 crore.
