Kolkata: Amidst the voting, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came into the field and directly raised questions on the election process. She said that some observers are not impartial and are working under some pressure. Such allegations being made on the last day of elections shows to what extent the political temperature in Bengal has risen.

What allegations were made against the central forces?

Mamta Banerjee also targeted the central security forces. She said that an atmosphere of fear is being created by forcibly entering the houses of Trinamool workers, due to which voters can be influenced. That means the allegation was simple; an attempt is being made to scare people even before casting their vote.

What happened in Bhawanipur?

Bhawanipur is the most discussed seat of this entire election. Here Mamata Banerjee and Shubhendu Adhikari are face-to-face. Even on the day of voting, there was a direct squabble between the two leaders. This seat was already high-voltage, but this rhetoric on the day of voting made it more intense.

What answer did BJP give?

BJP rejected all the allegations of Mamata. The party said that Trinamool is sensing public anger; hence, efforts are being made to divert the atmosphere. Shubhendu Adhikari even said that this time the results will be in his favor.

Did these allegations affect voting?

Despite so much commotion, people reached the booths in large numbers. Voting did not stop; it continued. Yes, the atmosphere was definitely heated, but the common voter kept himself away from this political noise and quietly performed his duty. This was also a kind of answer to all those leaders who were considering the voters weak.

How important is this step?

All the important districts of South Bengal are included in this voting taking place on 142 seats. This area is considered an old stronghold of Trinamool, but this time BJP is trying its best to make a dent here.

Now all eyes are on May 4, when the results will come and it will be known who was the real winner amid all these allegations and claims.
