Bajaj CNG bike: The landscape of Indian roads is poised for a significant shift towards eco-friendly alternatives, with electric and CNG vehicles gaining prominence. While CNG-powered four-wheelers are a common sight, Bajaj Auto is set to revolutionize the two-wheeler segment with India's first CNG motorcycle. Though the company has yet to make an official announcement, recent sightings during test rides hint at an imminent debut.

Riding the Green Wave

With rising concerns over pollution and fluctuating fuel prices, the emergence of CNG motorcycles presents a promising solution. Bajaj's foray into this domain aligns with the growing demand for eco-conscious transportation options. CNG, known for its lower cost and reduced emissions compared to petrol and diesel, could potentially reshape the commuting experience for bike riders across the country.

Trademark Filings and Speculated Names

Recent trademark filings by Bajaj Auto offer insights into the anticipated models. Names like Glider, Marathon, Trekker, and Freedom have been earmarked, hinting at the company's CNG motorcycle lineup. These filings, made between January 29 and February 9, suggest an imminent expansion of Bajaj's product portfolio.

Unveiling the Prototype

During recent test rides conducted by Bajaj, glimpses of the CNG motorcycle prototype were captured. The vehicle, featuring a single-seater configuration, showcased halogen turn indicators, multi-spoke alloy wheels, and rear grab rails. Despite attempts to conceal details, observers noted the presence of a compact CNG tank and 17-inch tyres, hinting at the bike's eco-friendly design.

Launch and Pricing Expectations

Industry speculations point towards a potential launch window between April and June for Bajaj's inaugural CNG motorcycle. Anticipated to fall within the 100 to 125cc category, the bike is projected to offer a price range of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh.
