Auto News: BMW India has announced that the prices of its entire car range will be increased from September 1, 2025. The company has clarified that this increase will not be limited to select models but will be applicable to all vehicles. This increase in prices will be up to a maximum of 3 percent. BMW India has announced that it will increase prices by up to three percent from September 1, 2025. The price hike will be applicable to all BMW models.

The company has cited fluctuations in the dollar-rupee rate and increased cost of manufacturing materials and transportation and supply problems as the reason behind this increase, which has a direct impact on the price of cars.

Prices of BMW cars will increase from September

The price of BMW's 2 Series Gran Coupe starts at Rs 46.90 lakh, and the price of the XM Performance SUV goes up to Rs 2.60 crore (ex-showroom). Let us tell you, this will be BMW's third price hike this year. The company had earlier increased the prices in January and April as well. After these three hikes, these cars have become more expensive by about 10 percent.

BMW sales on the rise

BMW has posted good sales in the first half of the year, and the carmaker is hoping to maintain this growth in the second half as well. The company sells a wide range of locally assembled and fully imported cars in India.

 BMW’s Local Assembly And Imports

BMW manufactures several popular models in India at its Tamil Nadu factory. These include the 2 Series Gran Coupe, 3 Series Long Wheelbase, 5 Series Long Wheelbase, 7 Series, X1, X3, X5, X7, M340i, and the iX1 Long Wheelbase. Local assembly allows BMW to keep costs competitive and meet the growing demand for luxury vehicles in India. However, not all models are produced locally.

Cars like the BMW i4, i5, i7, i7 M70, iX, Z4 M40i, M2 Coupe, M4 Competition, M4 CS, M5, M8 Competition Coupe, and XM arrive as completely built units (CBU). These imported cars maintain their premium global design and features without changes. While CBUs are typically more expensive due to import duties, they attract enthusiasts who value exclusivity. This mix of local assembly and global imports helps BMW balance affordability with luxury appeal.

New models will also be launched

Despite the price hike, the vehicle manufacturer is also preparing to launch new and powerful models this festive season. Not only this, but the company will also provide financial options like easy EMI, leasing plans, and buy-back offers to its customers. So that people's dream of buying a premium car can be fulfilled. Even after the price hike, the customer experience and product offering in BMW cars will be even better than before..
